Juvenile Arrested After Rohnert Park Business Window Is Shattered by Gunfire

A juvenile was arrested after a person reportedly fired at a business on Hunter Drive in Rohnert Park, shattering a large glass window, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety. The incident was reported early Saturday afternoon, Aug. 29, after an unknown suspect allegedly shot at the building and left in a vehicle. The person who reported the incident photographed the vehicle, including its license plate, the department said. Rohnert Park public safety patrol officers searched for the vehicle and used the department’s Flock automated license plate recognition system to locate it a short time later. Officers initiated a high-risk vehicle stop in a parking lot on Arlen Drive. Three juveniles were detained during the stop. Officers found a replica Glock-style BB gun in the vehicle, according to the department. One of the juveniles was arrested and booked at the Los Guilicos Juvenile Detention Center on allegations of felony vandalism and displaying an imitation firearm in public. The department did not provide additional information about the other two juveniles.
